If all else is the same, it is a good idea to select a bakery that is local. This way, you won’t have to worry as much about time constraints. In general, the less travel your cake has to do, the better. So, unless you have found a truly exceptional out-of-town bakery that offers great prices, it is usually best to stick with a bakery that is local.
