Are you looking for an interesting and exciting place to get married?  If so, you might want to take a little inspiration from Claire Tullan and Stephen Tierney.

Tullan and Tierney, who are both avid backpackers, held their wedding from the summit of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.  Although the bridge is located in Australia, the couple is actually from Glasgow, Scotland.  The distance between their home and the bridge, however, didn’t stand in the way of their wedding dreams.

The bridge, which was opened in 1932, has never been the venue for a wedding until the couple tied the knot on the bridge, which is 456 feet in the air.  The total length of the bridge is a massive 3,770 feet with its longest span being 1,650 feet long.

The couple climbed to the top of the bridge during rush hour traffic.  Therefore, the bride wasn’t able to wear a traditional gown.  Rather, she had to wear a safety suit to keep her safe as they couple climbed to the top of the bridge.  Not only that, there was no ring-bearer to carry the rings for the couple.  Instead, they had to use a special security device to make sure the rings weren’t dropped on their way up.

This is certainly a wedding day to remember!
