Is it getting really close to your wedding day?  If you are only two or three weeks away from your big day, there are a few last minute things you might want to start taking care of now in order to make certain your wedding celebration goes off exactly as you had planned.

If you are down to only two or three weeks to go, you might want to take care of the following:

  •  Contact all of your vendors in order to make sure they have all of the information they need to deliver your food, decorations, chairs, flowers, etc on time.
  •  Make an appointment with your hairstylist so you can have your hair and makeup done in time on your wedding day - you might even want to make a few appointments beforehand so you can try out different styles and find the one you like the most.
  •  Try on your wedding gown and make any last minute alterations that may need to be completed.
  •  Make certain your bridesmaids have picked up their gowns and that they have completed any necessary last minute alterations.
  •  Call the guests who have not sent back a response card in order to find out whether or not they plan to attend
  •  Finalize your guest list and give the final head count to your caterer.
  •  Complete your seating chart if you will be assigning seats to your guests.
  •  Finish writing your vows or your speeches if you will be giving a toast at your reception

If you have completed all of these items and you are looking to make a smoother transition into married life, you might also want to start collecting the paperwork necessary for getting a new social security card and changing your name on your driver’s license and other important documents if you will be changing your name when you get married.  This way, the process of changing your name can be completed as quickly as possible after your wedding day.
