Are you planning a wedding at a hotel? If you are like many of today’s couples, you might want to consider booking every room in the hotel so you can make it your private paradise!

A growing trend over recent years has been for couples to choose a boutique hotel or a bed and breakfast and then book all of the rooms for their wedding celebration. This ensures they will enjoy complete privacy from strangers while also making it easy for their guests to find a place to stay when traveling to the wedding.

“It’s very appealing to have their own scheduled place, a place that feels like their and reflect their personality,” said Christine Baumgartner, owner of The Perfect Day wedding planning business in Fullerton, California.

Of course, booking every room in a hotel doesn’t come cheap. If you booked every room at California’s Calistoga Ranch, which is a wine lovers paradise, you will be looking at spending at least $33,000 to book all 46 rooms. When you add that to the cost of food and other wedding expenses, that is quite a chunk of money. Yet, Shannon Pulling, the catering sales coordinator at Calistoga Ranch, claims that about 5% of the weddings that take place at the Ranch involve renting every single room.

There are some less costly options out there, however, so it is worth looking into if you think you might want to take over a hotel for the night. The Sunlight Mountain Inn in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, for example, offers a 20 room bed and breakfast setup that can cost as little as $1,200 to rent the space and $5,000 to book all of the rooms. The catering costs will still be extra and you can only have up to 60 guests, but it is a good option for a more intimate affair.
