Every bride’s worse nightmare is coming true for dozens of brides in North Texas. Apparently, a chapel in Rockwell abruptly closed its doors without warning – and many brides are left scrambling trying to find a new place to host their special day.
The chapel, which is called the Wedding Cottage, has been the home to wedding for almost twenty years. As such, it has been quite the staple in the community and seemed like a reputable place to have a wedding. Over the last few weeks, however, many of the couples have found it to be impossible to get in touch with anyone at the Wedding Cottage.
After trying to make contact by email and phone to no avail, many of the brides-to-be have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau. According to the Better Business Bureau, many complaints have already been filed since the chapel closed.
Not only are these women out of luck when it comes to having a location for their wedding ceremony, the couples are also out of money. Some of the couples had already paid several thousand dollars toward holding their spot at the chapel.
I can’t imagine having a worse situation than this when planning a wedding. Not only are these couples struggling to find a location for their weddings, they also have to get supplies such as silverware and linens that were supposed to be supplied by the chapel. In addition, they have lost out on a great deal of money right before starting their new lives together. Couples getting married already have so much to worry about – they certainly don’t need these extra problems to deal with!
