Well, Jenna Bush has finally tied the knot. The moment has been has been coming for quite some time now, with President Bush publicly discussing all of the ups and downs of planning a wedding for his daughter. Apparently, the work was well worth it and the wedding was a success.
“Our little girl, Jenna, married a really good guy, Henry Hager,” said President Bush. “The wedding was spectacular. It’s just – it’s all we could have hoped for.”
This wedding was different from other first family weddings of the past. Whereas these weddings have been broadcast live, the President and his family decided not to broadcast the wedding for the entire nation to see.
The wedding took place on the Bush’s 1,600 acre ranch in Texas. Although the Bush’s have been gradually giving out more details of the wedding over the past few months, they did their best to keep the media at bay. The White House did, however, release eleven photos from the wedding after the nuptials were complete.
Over 200 family members and friends attended the reception, which included entertainment from a 10-piece party band from Nashville called the Tyrone Smith Revue. According to reports, Bush danced with his daughter to the song “You are so Beautiful” at the reception, while the newlywed couple danced to “Lovin’ in My Baby’s Eyes” by Taj Mahal.
