- Announcement cards – used to announce that you have been engaged to your family and friends, but may also be used as invitations for an engagement party or a bridal
shower - Invitations – come in a wide variety of colors, sizes, and shapes; may be printed professionally or hand made and printed at home. For example, exciting colors like:
- Reception cards – sent to those that are invited to the reception but not to the wedding ceremony, which is becoming increasingly common among couples that are getting married for the second time
- RSPV cards – included in the wedding invitation along with an envelop with pre-paid postage so guests can let the couple know whether or not they will be attending the wedding
- Wedding programs – a small booklet handed out by the ushers that provides information about the wedding party
- Thank you cards – cards sent out 4-6 weeks after the wedding that are used to thank guests for attending the wedding and/or reception
- Guest book – a book in which guests sign-in and share a special thought if they wish, which makes for a great wedding keepsake
- Direction cards – included in the invitation and provides directions and a map to the location of the ceremony and/or reception
